Visualizing 20 Years of Innovation
Since its foundation in 2004, FFG Austria has played a pivotal role in advancing the nation's research and innovation landscape, subsidizing over 60,000 research facilities and institutions, and guiding them through 65,000 projects.
We created a visualisation of this vast web of collaboration and progress in a way that would show its growing interconnectedness over the years.
The network visualization served as the digital and spatial centerpiece of FFG’s anniversary celebration in September 2024. The work not only represents the data but transforms it into an aesthetic experience, shaping the atmosphere of the event.

20 Years FFG Celebration Forum
To commemorate FFG’s 20th anniversary in September 2024, we not only developed the network visualization that captures the evolving network of science and research across Austria over the past two decades.
During the event, Flora Miranda spoke about the intersection of art, data, and research, explaining how this project blended poetry and information. To extend the generative visual beyond the screen, we also produced derivative designs to bring the digital artwork into everyday life: Physical objects like custom pencils, socks, and notebooks.
