Yarns from Schoeller
Schoeller Spinning Group from Vorarlberg in Austria is where we get the finest yarns from. Schoeller not only has a selection of wools in their portfolio, but also push innovation. For example the "Nomex" fibre, from which we knit our "Christian Death Bandages". Nomex is made of metal fibres on micro scale, worked into a thread that feels super soft and gives a metallic shine to the final knitted textile. These Nomex fibres are often used for technical wear like cut-resistant gloves.
The company has its origins in times of industrialisation: In 1868, Rudolph Schoeller moved from Breslau to Zürich and set up the yarn spinning mill in Schaffhausen with the name ”Schoeller & Söhne,” the origin of today’s Schoeller Textil AG.
"We want to support consumers with intelligent textile products, promote wellbeing and help to increase physical and weather protection while improving comfort and ease of care. In other words: simplify life. That’s why we produce highly-functional textiles and innovative textile technologies for sports, work, lifestyle, protection, medicine and technical applications."
